Sharon Bechtold - Woodburning  (Sponsor)

As a third generation artist Sharon grew up around a variety of art materials, tools and the encouragement that have been instrumental to her development. After completing studies in commercial art, fine art, and photography, Sharon worked as a graphic designer in the family business. Her oil paintings, watercolors, and pyrographs, have won numerous awards and been represented by galleries throughout the Chicago area. Since 1988 she has taught art both at the adult level and children’s classes. Since 2000 she has devoted herself to Pyrography, developing her own unique style, based on classical art principles, in order to render a realistic image guided by inspiration.

JR Cadawas - Wood Carving and Fruit and Vegetable carving-  Bring a fruit or vegatable to be carved.

Don't blink or you will miss something.  World renowned, award winning woodcarver, teacher, tool maker and chef.  If you can imagine it, we can carve it.

Bob Mau - Carving Facial Features

Bob enjoys carving faces, he finds it amazing to watch a face emerge out of a block of wood.  Bab has been carving since 1979.  He teaches classes at Woodcraft, various park districts around the Chicago area, and the annual Gathering of Wood Carvers in Somonauk Illinois.  He recently retired and carving is not just a hobby but a relaxing passion.

Pat Lupori -- Getting Started with Scroll Saw

Pat has been using the scrollsaw for more than 25 years. During the course of that time she has been a multiple Best In Show Winner for her work as well as appearing in publications such as Creative Woodworks and Crafts, Scroll Saw Workshop and Crafts, SAW Dust, and Tension Relief.  She was a founding member of the Scrollsaw Association of the World (S.A.W.) and was awarded a Lifetime Membership for her contributions to the art of scrolling. Pat was a member of the S.A.W. Board of Directors from its inception in 1996 to 2002 and served another term from 2004 to 2006. During that time she also ran the Home Office for S.A.W. and was instrumental in starting many of the programs that S.A.W. promotes. Pat currently promotes scrolling by teaching classes for the Chicagoland Scrollers.

 Joe Dillett -- Sharpening

Joe, a long time supporter of Wounded Warriors, developed a 4 year apprentice program the taught both carving and the business aspects of being an artist.
